Iron deficiency

Did you know that:

  • Iron is best absorbed when taken with Vitamin C, or with food that contains Vitamin C (e.g. kale, broccoli etc.)

  • Iron should not be taken with calcium containing foods/supplements (think milk, yoghurt, your morning white coffee etc.) as it reduces iron absorption

    • Take iron rich food/iron supplements at least 2-3 hours away from your calcium containing food/supplement
